Pond Neighborhood
Trout Pond provides for a neighborhood with a full variety of commercially oriented and traditional mixed-use buildings. The plan provides for an ëin towní hotel as well as a broad mix of office and apartment buildings. Trout Pond on the eastern end of the parcel dominates the neighborhood.
Trout Pond will be surrounded by dedicated open space that is designed to provide a park atmosphere with walking and jogging trails surrounding the pond as well as quiet ëoverviewsí of the pond that will be an amenity for the entire community.
To date, the master plan has resulted in the partial build out of a viable, sustainable, mixed use "downtown". The plan is bases upon the design of traditional towns throughout New England and particularly on Cape Cod. These towns have well defined centers with narrow streets and a comprised of a mix of housing types, commercial uses, offices, civic institutions and green space in a close-knit environment.
