2010 Mashpee Commons Sand Sculpting Festival

Mark your calendars for the 2nd Annual Mashpee Commons Sand Sculpting Festival taking place at Mashpee Commons July 9-11 Rain or Shine.
Master Sculptor Sean Fitzpatrick of Fitzy Snowman Sculpting along with this years special guest Grand Master Sand Sculptor Suzanne Altamare will create two unique sand sculptures with over 25 tons of sand. Sponsored in part by Vineyard Vines by Puritan Cape Cod, Nantucket Nectars and Mashpee Commons, this unique three-day event will transform part of Mashpee Commons into a tropical beach oasis with tons of family fun for all. Over sixty tons of special sand will be trucked in from Hudson, NH for the event which will also include amateur and merchant sand sculpting competitions, sand sculpting clinics led by the pros, live music, food, giveaways & so much more!
Mashpee Commons is a unique, exciting and growing center with over 75 fine shops and restaurants. It has received national and international acclaim for its traditional downtown approach to mixed use and retail development and was the recipient of the 2009 Business Excellence Reward for Retail from the Cape Cod Chamber of Commerce. Mashpee Commons was also the recipient of the 2005 Award for Best Downtown Shopping District from the Retailers Association of Massachusetts.
